Minola Anghel

Minola, one of our founding principals and president of our firm, brings 30 years of experience as a specialist in the design of plumbing and fire protection systems. Driven by a keen interest in building efficiency and water conservation, she constantly researches new technologies to provide our clients with the best solutions. Throughout her distinguished career the associations she has held with national and international consulting engineering firms along with the two decades as leader of our firm continue to bring her undisputed recognition and the trust of our clients.

Having worked on more than a thousand projects of differing size and complexity during her career, Minola remains just as comfortable with and as equally committed to designing a small classroom project as when working on an iconic project such as the Asian Art Museum or the San Francisco Transbay Terminal.

Born in Romania, Minola holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Architectural Engineering Technical Institute of Bucharest and is an active member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. She loves the opera, science fiction movies, reading history books and cooking ethnic foods.

Dorel Anghel

Dorel, a founding principal and designer, spearheads the growth and market positioning of our firm. His more than three decades of experience in mechanical engineering design, research and construction, in addition to his enthusiasm for new challenges and ideas, are the driving forces behind our firm's success.

Dorel takes an active role in nearly every project. In addition to providing engineering input he maintains constant communication with clients to ensure that MDS meets their expectations. Having worked in Europe and the US and on all sides of the development table (design-build, facilities, and consulting), Dorel has the unique ability to anticipate potential opportunities and pitfalls thus bringing valuable insight and perspective on the design and construction aspects of a project. Our clients especially appreciate his open communication style, responsiveness, humor and fanatical commitment to meeting their deadlines.

Born in Berlin, Dorel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Architectural Engineering Technical Institute of Bucharest. He is passionate about implementing social platform based project management in the workspace, walking his dog Kiwi and reading philosophy books on his Kindle.
