The new dealership is located in a former horse barn in the inner Richmond area, and it retained 100% of its original structure. As California's first-ever LEED Platinum car dealership, the facility used 75% recycled waste for its construction and includes natural ventilation, VRF air conditioning, radiant heating, rainwater storage and recycling and solar Photovoltaic panels. Electric car chargers, highly efficient lighting and low flow plumbing fixture also contributed to its outstanding LEED rating. MDS provided full mechanical and energy analysis services. The building was completed and LEED Platinum certified in 2013.
