MDS provided HVAC and energy modeling services for the new, 75,000 sqft, 4 story and one level underground parking infill office building in Mountain View, CA. The base building HVAC systems include a central VRF system, dedicated outside air heat pump (DOAS) with heat recovery wheel and CO controlled VFD driven garage exhaust systems. The building includes a high performance envelope, a striking green roof and roof terrace feature among many other sustainable design elements. Accounting for all the high performance features, the building energy model, exceeded Title 24 energy requirements by 34.5%.

The future headquarters for Nuance Communications, the building was designed for LEED Platinum certification and the construction was completed in 2013.
