The massive facelift of the building started in 2011. New ADA compliant restrooms, a new elevator, new high efficiency air conditioning systems and renovations of the meeting rooms, event halls and bar let to a transformation that was called by the veterans startling and fabulous and representing true team work. Linda Seifert, chair of the Solano County Board of Supervisors, agreed. "This is indeed an amazing transformation. This building became an asset to the city of Benicia many years ago... it has had an amazing legacy." MDS provided full HVAC, Plumbing and Energy Analysis design services.
