The 177 year old Victorian structure - "the center of Noe Valley" - has withstood two major earthquakes, two major remodels and use by thousands of people for meetings and arts-related events, but it is rapidly deteriorating ands no longer safe. The building is undertaking a major 2 year - $ 4 million renovation including seismic upgrade, MEP systems and ADA restrooms upgrades and a new elevator. The new program includes offices, classrooms, a library and two large multipurpose spaces on three levels. Mechanical Design Studio provided full mechanical and plumbing engineering services.
